Animal Encounters
The park specializes in animal encounters including moments with dolphins, stingrays, and reptiles like turtles, lizards, snakes and alligators. If you are from the north you might be more used to seeing mammals like raccoons, squirrels, possums, mice, etc. Here you will see some of those but there are an awful lot of small lizards and slithery snakes in Florida.
Other animals include penguins, seals, sea lions and birds.
Dolphins
As with many aquarium type parks, Gulfarium features dolphins. They do not offer a full immersion swim with the creatures but put on two dolphin encounter programs: Discover Dolphins and Dolphin Splash Encounter. Visitors can touch, feed, play and give behavior signals to the dolphins!
Stingrays
This brief 15-minute show allows visitors four and up to dip their hands into a stingray estuary and closely observe the tranquility of the gentle rays as they glide under their fingertips. Learn specifics on stingrays from a Gulfarium aquarist who provides details about the animal that visitors meet from the ever-loving comfort of dry land.
